What has been a dream is now becoming a reality. A loving, Christian rehabilitation center for women at a prime location for healing wounded souls is soon to open.
The Alaska Dream Center men’s campus, located off Palmer-Fishook Road, has been changing lives since 2008. They are indeed practicing what they state in their mission “…to reduce the incidences of substance abuse among the adult population of Alaska … by providing individuals with a safe environment to permanently overcome addictions controlling their lives.”
They do this with a one year residential program for men but have desired to also have a place where women can be restored, nurtured and discipled. The Alaska Dream Center has established a track record of restoring broken lives that are now thriving by the power of the gospel. Those without hope have found great hope in Jesus. (See their Facebook page for video testimonies!)
Now a very wonderful thing has happened. They have acquired a 38 acre property on Willow-Fishook Road in Hatchers Pass that once was a tourist hotel and accompanying buildings! This is quite a remarkable place for their outreach, a provision from the Lord.
Here’s where Christian partnership comes in. In order for the Alaska Dream Center to open this facility for women, the buildings need upgrading. This means ministry opportunity for skilled workmen and women to help make it usable by fall 2016. Will you consider how you may help? Contact Rob or Cherise Hyslip at firstname.lastname@example.org Remember to pray for their outreach and perhaps God will lead you to give a donation to help make the women’s campus a reality.
