What is the Community School of Worship?
The Community School of Worship exists to encourage and equip for ministry, those with a passion for leading worship in the local church worldwide. Located in Anchorage Alaska, this multi-cultural melting pot is the perfect “base station” for raising up well-rounded leaders and sending them out on the mission of connecting the Body of Christ to its Creator through worship. We have recently expanded the school from a 1-year program to include a 2-year offering. Our goal is to equip each student with the knowledge and hands-on education needed for worship ministry at all levels of the local church, including pastoral, platform and tech.
What do students enjoy most about your worship program?
To quote one of the school’s alumni, “More like a family than a school, ‘The Community’ offered me a safe environment where I could discover the gifts God gave me, and who He made me to be as a leader in His church.” Because of our small class sizes, the student body functions hand in hand toward the goal. Being located in Alaska also sets the school apart from any other. The beauty of His majesty is all around, and it can’t help but inspire each student to bring out the unique leader within them.
